Alfred Adams, 72, of Whitesburg, Kentucky passed away January 15, 2017, at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Medical Center.  He is survived by his companion, Mae Jones ;Sons: Robert Adams of Levinsworth, Kansas, Richard Adams of Cecil, Ohio, Shannon Adams of Hemphill and Matthew Adams of Whitesburg. 2 Step-sons: Dustin Bradshaw of Whitesburg and Jacob Bradshaw of Mayking, Kentucky. ; Brothers: Billy Conn Adams of Jeremiah, Bud Adams of Paulding, Ohio, J.R. Adams of Letcher, Ky., and Tony Adams of Letcher, Ky. ;Sisters: Janet Hill of Hazard, Ky., Debbie Adams of Jeremiah, Ky., Maggie Adams of Somerset, Ky.,  and Tammie Adams of Jenkins, Ky.; 17 Grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Blair Branch Church with Chris Gilley, Robert Halcomb and others officiating.  Visitation: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from at Blair Branch Church. He was preceded in death by: Den Adams, Geneva Adams, Reneva Hayes, Anis Adams and Shannon Adams. Burial will follow in the John C. Adams Cemetery in Jeremiah, Ky.
