Bertha Helen Day, 77, of Whitesburg passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home. Bertha was the daughter of the late John C. and Elva Watts Griffie. She was the widow of Ralph Day. Surviving a host of family, friends, caregivers and special friend: Maudie Stallard. Bertha was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Bruce, Hargus, Alfred, Bill, and Hassell; 4 sisters: Della, Bonnie, Hazel, and Sally. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with Jim Fields and Danny Dixon officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Whitesburg First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Watts Family Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.
