Bluford Elswick, 84, of Colson passed away Saturday, April 23rd, 2016 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.  Bluford was a faithful member of the Calvery Temple Church and board member for 44 years.  Bluford was a retired coal miner who enjoyed a host of hobbies including fishing, playing checkers, attending car shows, and family cook outs.  Bluford was the son of the late James (Jim) Elswick and Daisy Bentley Elswick.  Bluford is survived by his loving wife Pricey Faye Sizemore Elswick; 2 sons: James "Bud" (Diane) Elswick and Randy (Darlene) Elswick both of Campbranch; 5 daughters:  Betty (Harry) Taylor of Campbranch, Barbara Adams of Bean Station Tennessee, Jeanette (Boliver) Sexton of Little Colley, Rebecca (Peter) Labreche of Colson, and Cecelia (Chris) Breeding of Mayking; 3 brothers:  Ellize (Lenna) Elswick and Andrew Elswick both of Burlington Ky., and Stewart Elswick of Madison Indiana; 1 sister:  Mary (Lavern) Tackett of Pikeville; 10 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren.  Funeral:  1:00 O'clock Monday April 25th, 2016, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Conard Profitt, Jeff Miles, Johnnie Mullins, Joe Banks, and Garland Sargent officiating.  Visitation:  5:00 O'clock Sunday April 24th at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow In the Addington Cemetery at Crafts Colley.
