Cossie Joe Woodrow Adams, 67, of Mayking passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Cossie was the son of the late Virgil Adams, John Redford, and Lula Niece Redford. He was the widower of Eva Joy Polly Adams. Surviving is 3 sisters: Sue (Ken) Harvey of Cowan, Dorothy Mauk of Cowan, and Betty Adams of Finlay, Ohio; 2 brothers: Johnny Redford of Fostoria, Ohio and William Adams of Ohio; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 stepdaughter: Libby Sexton of Texas. Cossie was preceded in death by 1 brother: Hatler Adams. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Dock Frazier and others officiating. Visiation: 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking, Kentucky.
