Della Mae Marcum, 80, of Deane passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Della was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Edna Niece Helton. She was the widow of James Marcum. Surviving is 2 sons: Jeffrey Marcum of Hazard and James N. Marcum of Ocala, Florida; 2 daughters: Della Yvonne Johnson of Deane and Julia Giles of Madisonville, Tennessee; 1 brother: Thomas J. Helton III of Talbott, Tennessee; 3 sisters: Janet Hargis of Killen, Alabama, Annette Lee of Georgetown, South Carolina, and Theresa Noble of Deane; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Della was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Yvonne Hall, Mary Ruth Johnson, and Eunice Faye Helton. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Wright officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the American Legion Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
