Denny R. Smith of Dayton, Ohio formerly of Letcher County passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Denny was the son of the late Hewey E. Sr., and Leona (Ellis) Smith. Surviving is 2 sons: Michael R. and Walter M. Smith both of Texas; siblings: Geraldine Haynes, Ruth Fugate, Hewey E. Smith, Jr., Margaret Longworth, Katherine Smith, and Elizabeth Mackey. Denny was preceded in death by 1 sister: Ruby June Smith; 2 brothers: James and Herbert Smith. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Saturday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pendleton Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
