Doris Jean Cole Sparkman, 83, of Hallie passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Doris was the daughter of the late Willie and Goldie Cornett Cole. She was the widow of Bill Sparkman. Surviving is 1 son: David (Freda) Sparkman of Hallie; 2 daughters: Patricia Henderson of Hallie and Rita Herslip of Hazard; 1 brother: Vernis Cole of Sweetwater, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren: Farron (Rebecca), Michael (Savannah), Autumn; 2 great grandchildren: Christopher and Victoria; 2 great great grandchildren: J.T. and Nikola and one great great grandchild on the way: Emma. Doris was preceded in death by 1 sister Thelma Turner; 1 brother: Albert Wayne Cole. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Bethanna Baptist Church with Bob Caudill officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Bethanna Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.
