Douglas "Corn Cob" Asher, 76, of Hallie passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Douglas was the son of the late Alex and Alice Bromett Asher. Surviving is his wife: Ethel Trent Asher; 1 son: Scott (Nora) Asher of Hallie; 2 daughters: Bonita (Jeff) Cole of Hallie and Donna Davis of Hallie; 5 brothers: Mitchell Asher, Rosco Asher, Stanley Asher, David Asher, and Paul Asher; 3 sisters: Edna, Hazel, and Rosie; 6 grandchildren: Jessie (Dusty) Adams, Allie Asher, Shawn (Jolene) Adams, Tyler Asher, Alex Asher, and  Jake Asher; 3 great grandchildren: Christopher, Preston, and Konnor Adams. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Asher Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.
