Ellis Roy Culp, 72, of Jeremiah passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Roy was the son of the late E.W. Culp and Stacy Collier Halcomb. Surviving is his wife: Barbara Back Culp; 3 brothers: Sonny Lee (Pam) Halcomb of Redstar, Astor (Darla) Halcomb Jr. of Ice, and Eddie Gene (Julia) Culp of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; 1 sister: Sheila Lynn (Kenny) Smith of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; stepmother: Mable Culp of Tennessee. Roy was preceded in death by his stepfather: Astor Halcomb; 3 brothers: James Halcomb, Tipton Culp, and Jerry Halcomb. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Church with Allen Meyers, Caleb Combs, and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Halcomb Cemetery at Redstar, Kentucky.
