Gipsy Brashears, 94, of Whitesburg passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home. Gipsy was the daughter of the late Hiram and Minnie Smith Boggs. She was the widow of Coman Brashears. Surviving is a special niece: Freida Johnson and husband Billy of Whitesburg along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Gipsy was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Loma, Estill, Lonzo, and Edward. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Cassell Boggs and Lester Boggs officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Dinah Blair Cemetery at Cowan, Kentucky.
