Herbert Clay Caudill, 88, of Whitesburg passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Letcher Rehab Center. Herb was the son of the late Steve and Hattie Combs Caudill. Surviving is his wife: Sally Fugate Webb Caudill; 1 son: Mark (Ella Mae) Caudill of Whitesburg; 2 daughters: Clayshan C. (Red) Black of Whitesburg and Jeanne Elizabeth (Jeff) Young of Nashville, Tennessee; 1 sister: Mae Amburgey of Ermine; grandchildren: Aaron (Sarah) Caudill, Amanda Clay (Reid) Mackin, Amelia Alyson Black, and Katie Jeane Caudill; great grandchildren: Raegan, Reid, Lola Shea, and Jett. nephews: Larry, Phil, and Jay Amburgey; 1 stepson: Sam Clinton (Shanna) Webb II of Mayking and their children: Sam Clinton Webb III and Landon Mitchell Webb. Herb was preceded in death by his 1st wife: Jeane Franklin Caudill; 1 brother: Steve Caudill Jr.; nephew: Greg Amburgey. Herb was a board Member of the Community Trust Bank and the Whitesburg Housing Authority and a member of the Whitesburg First Baptist Church. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Whitesburg First Baptist Church with Tony Brown officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Whitesburg First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Combs Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
