Homer Amburgey, 84, of Linefork passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Homer was the son of the late Pearl and Nannie Bentley Amburgey. He was the widower of Connie Irene Adams Amburgey. Surviving is 2 sons: Mike (Shirley) Amburgey and Bill (Pam) Amburgey; 3 daughters: JoAnn (Bobby) Gross, Sherry Lunn (Dean) Cornett, and Donna (Ron) Kohlhoff; 1 brother: Hargas Amburgey of Little Colley; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Homer was preceded in death by 1 son: Homer Amburgey; 1 brother: Carl Kermit Amburgey; 2 sisters; Esther Collins and Mildred Nichols. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Mary Bennett and Heath Kahlbau officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the American Legion Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
