Ivan Gay Cornett, 82, of Linefork passed away Thursday April 5, 2018 at the Tri City Nursing Home. Ivan was the son of the late Edward and Susan Cornett. Surviving are 3 Sons: Vernon Gay Cornett of Haillie, Edward Cornett of Pikeville, Emory Ison; 2 Daughters: Vivian Shephard of Lineford, Ruby Maggard of Eolia; 2 Brothers: Lind Cornett of California, Norman Cornett of Lexington; 4 Sisters: Eula Morgan of Indiana, Dorthy Henderson of Indiana, Dovie Collins of Isom, Jewell Hauser of New Jersey; 4 Grandchildren: Jimmy Sheperd Jr, Bobby Sheperd, Sara Maggard, Timothy Maggard; 6 Great Grandchildren: Keyara Sheperd, Jordan Sheperd, Lindsay Sheperd, Shelby Sheperd, Samuel Sheperd, Lilly Sheperd. Ivan was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Coolidge Cornett, Kenneth Cornett, Warren Cornett. Funeral 1:00 P.M. Saturday April 7, 2018 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Dixon, Jim Fields, Elwood Cornett, Roger Fields. Visitation 6:00 P.M. Friday April 6, 2018 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Clover Lick Cemetery at Defeated Creek.
