Mavis Miller, 77, of Redstar passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Mavis was the daughter of the late John P. and Christine Dixon Eldridge. She was the widow of James Miller. Surviving is 1 daughter-in-law: Myrtle Miller; 3 sons-in-law: Kenny Crase, Ward Whitaker, and Danny Caudill; 5 grandchildren: Chelsea Sturgill, James Thomas Crase, Devin Caudill, Shayla Caudill, and James Allen Whitaker; 3 great grandchildren: Braxton Holbrook, Emmerson Sturgill, and Trinity Starr Whitaker. Mavis was preceded in death by 2 sons: Tommy Miller and Ronnie Miller; 3 daughters: Connie Crase, Annette Whitaker, and Charity Caudill; 1 grandson: Lonis Morris. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Mt. Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church with Danny Dixon and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Mt. Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery at Redstar, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to help pay for funeral expenses.
