Nancy Jane Smith Deaton, 68, of Hallie passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. Nancy Jane was the daughter of the late Herman and Thelma Craft Hall Smith. She was the widow of Lane Deaton Jr. Surviving is 2 sons: Dennis Truman (Teresa) Tindle of Hope Means, Edward Dewayne Stearns of Lexington; 2 daughters: Mary Jane (Tim) Back of Jeremiah and Rhonda Michelle (Keith) Miller of Hallie; 2 brothers: Hillard Ray Smith and Billy Joe Smith both of Elk Creek; 4 grandchildren: Courtney, Becky, Brittany, and Tamara; 4 great grandchildren: Walker, Isaiah, Aniyla, Spencer. Nancy Jane was preceded in death by 5 brothers; Lenville, Curtis, Shelp, Edward, and Herman Jr. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon Saturday, October 22, 2106 at the Little Bull Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Earl Combs, Vergle Caudill, Emory Caudill, and Wallace Bolling officiating. Visitation: 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Little Bull Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Jent Cemetery at Carcassonne, Kentucky.
