Edgar “Neal” Lucas, 75, of Thornton passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at Pikeville Medical Center. Neal was the son of the late Edgar D. and Julie Sergent Lucas. Surviving are wife: Lisa Elkins; one son: Edgar “Luke” Lucas of Thornton; three daughters: Tiffany (James) Collins of Isom, Tya Lucas of Thornton, and Randa Meade of Knoxville, Tennessee; six grandchildren: Austin (Naomi) Hale, Leeah Yeary, Sadie Osborne, Myah  and Kyna Banks, and Katie (Jay) Collins; four great grandchildren: Connor and Cainan Hale and Marley and Fletcher Brown; six sisters: Coetta Combs, Loretta Blair, Claudette Tyrell, Jolene Lucas, Ivetta “Fern” VanHuss, and Shelia Lucas Estes. Neal was preceded in death by one sister: Shelby Jean Janes. Visitation will be Sunday, January 15 at 6:00 p.m. followed by services at 7:00 p.m. at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be held 11:00 o'clock a.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky. Bill Craft will officiate all services.
