Penny Adams, 60, of Thornton passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Penny was the daughter of the late Denver and Maewood Lucas. Surviving is her husband: Larry Adams; 1 son: Larry Shawn Adams of Thornton; 1 daughter: April Dawn (Joe Holbrook II) of Mayking; 2 brothers: Denver Lucas of Beaverdam and Dan Lucas of Thornton; 3 sisters: Rosa Bates of Crafts Colley, Patty Bentley of Whitaker, and Geneva Dollarhide of Columbus, Indiana; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Penny was preceded in death by 8 sisters: Reta Ballou, Linda Bentley, Wilma Collins, Jenny Lucas, Ligemae Lucas, Louisa Sexton, Bobbie Tyree, and Elizabeth Anderson. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with Bill Craft and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Goins and Sergent Cemetery at Thornton, Kentucky.
