Phyllis Fayetta Whitaker, 72, of Jeremiah passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Phyllis was the daughter of the late Willie and Katie Marie Whitaker. Surviving is 2 sisters: Rosie Owens of Whitesburg and Ruth Whitaker of Jeremiah. Phyllis was preceded in death by 1 sister: Doris Rittenhouse. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Allen Meyers and Caleb Combs officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery at Jeremiah, Kentucky.
