Richard Newell Day, 82, of Cowan passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Richard was the son of the late Randall and Bonnie Hampton Day. Surviving is his wife: Lois Day; 2 daughters: Laura May Dollarhide of Illinois and Kay Weitzman of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; 3 grandchildren: Ellen Dollarhide, Eli Dollarhide, and Giddeon Dollarhide. Richard was preceded in death by 1 son: Richard Edward Day. Graveside Service: 12:00 O'clock Noon Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Family Cemetery at Cowan, Kentucky.
