Richard Lee Kincer 73, of Deane Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Parham Doctor’s Rehabilitation Center in Henrico County, Virginia.  Richard was the son of the late Garnard Cheldon and Reba Brooks Kincer of Haymond, Kentucky.  Richard was born May 26, 1944. Richard was the widower of Bonnie Jean Kincer. Richard was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Neon, Kentucky. He was a Veteran of the Armed Forces with an honorable discharge. Richard served as Chairman of the Letcher County School Board and was a Coal Miner for over 40 years. Surviving Richard are a son Gregory Lee Kincer and wife Melanie Elaine Kincer of Lexington, Kentucky and a daughter Rebecca Brooks Gonzalez and husband Edgar Randor Gonzalez of Mechanicsville, Virginia.  Richard is survived by two brothers and two sisters; Albert Jerome “Mack” Kincer of Pound, Virginia; Garnard Cheldon Kincer, Jr. of Jenkins, Kentucky; Sarah Hagen of Jenkins, Kentucky; and Willie Jo Hall of Jenkins, Kentucky. Richard was a proud and loving grandfather to three grandchildren: Christian Michael Kincer, Addison Brooks Goad, and Carter Andrew Goad. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at Letcher Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:00 am at Letcher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery in Ermine, Kentucky.
