Thelma Colleen Phillips, 83, formally of Lexington, KY, passed away at Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care in Columbus, Indiana, where she has lived since 2008. 

Miss Phillips was retired from Central Bank in Lexington after many years of service.  Colleen loved her cats, movies, music and going to concerts.  Most importantly Colleen loved her family.  She was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at Letcher Funeral Home on Main Street, Whitesburg, Ky with the Pastor Tony Brown officiating.  Burial will be at Sandlick Cemetery in Whitesburg, Ky.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Born in Hazard, Kentucky, on September 15, 1930, Miss Phillips was the daughter of Edgar E. Phillips, Sr. and Maude Mathews Phillips.  Survivors include her niece Mariearle Day Barker of Columbus, In; nephews, Raymond S. (Carol) Day of Pound, Va, Mark D. (Lisa) Bullock, and Monty (Pam) Bullock of Tn.; many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
