Tippie "Tim" Lane Griffie, 58, of Cornettsville passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Tim was the son of Sadie Griffie of Linefork and the late Harmie Griffie. Surviving is his wife: Rose Mary Griffie; 3 sons: Bobby (April) Griffie of Tennessee, Joshua (Lakeisha) Griffie of Little Leatherwood, and Layne Griffie of Little Leatherwood; 2 daughters: Aleah Rose Griffie of Little Leatherwood and Nikki Stanfill of Frankfort; 1 sister: Gemilda (Pettie) Lewis of Linefork; 1 brother: James (Dedra) Griffie of Georgia; 1 sister-in-law: Sherry Griffie of Hazard; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews; special friends whom he felt like were brothers: James Baker and David Newell. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Baker and Bob Caudill officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Jimmie Griffie Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.
