September 10, 2011 - Mr. J Thomas JT Caudill, Little Cowan, Whitesburg, Kentucky, age 76, went peacefully home to be with The LORD surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, TN.
Mr. Caudill was born January 27, 1935 on Little Cowan near Whitesburg, Kentucky and was a son of the late Burnice and Madge Caudill. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Eileen Combs Caudill and one sister Freida Caudill Runyons.
Mr. Caudill was a member of Little Cowan Primitive Baptist Church where he was deeply loved and called upon often to lead prayer.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp having served in the South Pacific and as a Drill Instructor at Paris Island, South Carolina.
Mr. Caudill retired from the United States Postal Service. He was also a member of the Fields Masonic Lodge in Cumberland, Kentucky.
Mr. Caudill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed worshiping The LORD and visiting with family and friends. He was also an avid fisherman and liked relaxing at Cherokee Lake.
Survivors include: his wife, Geneva Carol Caudill of the home; son, Douglas Wayne Caudill of Bessemer, Alabama; daughter and son in law, Sherrie and Robert Brown of Jonesborough, Tennessee; step daughter, Jill Kent of Wise, Virginia; sister and brother in law, Barbara and Joe Halcomb of Hamilton, Ohio; brother in law, Don Runyons of Loveland, Ohio; four grandsons, Jason Caudill of Bessemer, Alabama, Jacob Farley of Corbin, Kentucky, Bradley Brown of Jonesborough, Tennessee, and Joseph Brown of Jonesborough, Tennessee; four granddaughters, Brooke Caudill of Fairhope, Alabama, Jesse Caudill of Fairhope, Alabama, Cara Eskew of Wise, Virginia, and Becca Eskew of Wise, Virginia; nephews and nieces, Chris and Kathy Halcomb and their children Ed, Ben, and Lilly of Richmond, Kentucky, Joanna and Jeff Brewer and their son Joey of Mooresville, North Carolina, Terry and Mario Kroner their daughter Brittany and grandson Aavery of Hamilton, Ohio; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

August 27, 2011 - Joanne Fletcher Eversole was born in Dickenson Co, Virginia on September 10, 1930 to Frank Fletcher and Pearl Owens Fletcher. Joanne passed away August 27, 2011 in Pikeville, Ky being 80 years, 11 months, and 17 days. She was married April 26th 1949 to Fred Eversole in Hyden, Ky. To this union was born 6 daughters and 2 sons. Besides her husband she is survived by daughters; Deena Coffee and husband James of Lawrenceburg, Ky., Ann Mullins and husband Jake of Pound, Va., Francine Blend of Norfolk, Va., Sharla Jo Craft and John of Thornton, Ky. Emma Lou Smith and husband Brevin of Louisville, Ky. Frankie Melissa Casey and husband Coleman of Louisville, Ky. Bill Eversole and wife Jenny Bowen Eversole of Austin, Tx. and Fred Eversole Jr. of Whitesburg, Ky. Joanne is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
