Charlotte Ray "Lottie" Hampton, 83 of Ermine, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Lottie was the daughter of the late Carl and Beulah Adams Hampton. Lottie was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, and she was one of the founders of the local chapter of Weight Watchers. She was on the Stuart Robinson Alumni Committee for many years. Surviving is her brother: Phillip (Cheri) Hampton of Whitesburg; sister-in-law: Lou Anna Hampton of Louisville; nieces and nephews: Melinda (Nathan), Tena, Autumn (Jeff), Phillip (TL), Lindsay, and Ashley; great nieces and nephews: Joshua (Larisa), Breanna (Andrew), Sequoia, Asher (Emelia), Winter, Violet, Eden, Jude, Mariah, Charlotte, Corbin, Olive, Holden, Easton, and Brooks; great-grand nephews: Jude and Walker.
Lottie was preceded in death by her brother: Harold Hampton; nephew: Brandon Conley; great nephew: Ames.
Lottie made people feel at home, and she loved cooking for family and friends. Her heart was always open to others, and she cared well for many people over her long life.
Funeral: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Dixon and Elwood Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in the Isom Cemetery at Isom, Kentucky.
Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel
Eastern Star Service: 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
