David "Speedy" Caudill of Letcher entered eternal life Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Hazard ARH. He was 72 years old. He was the son of the late Ruby and Spencer Caudill. He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn (Jackie) a son, Daniel Caudill of Big Stone Gap, Virginia. a son Stephen and daughter in law Courtney of Jenkins, Ky. 2 daughters, Charity and son in law Chris Bader of Simi Valley, California and Lisa and son in law Gabriel Craft of Burlington, Ky. 2 granddaughters, Jayda and Sawyer and one grandson, Walker. Also surviving are 4 brothers, Roger (Brenda) Shultz of Nicholasville, Ky., Gary (Katie) Caudill, William (Mary) Caudill, and Martin Joe (Vickie) Caudill all of Blackey, Ky. 3 sisters, Nancy Armstrong of Lancaster, Ky, Virginia Hager of Nicholasville, Ky, and Teresa (Neville) Wise of Wilmore, Ky, and a host of nieces and nephews to mourn his passing, and a special friend Alan Bates of Blackey, Ky. David enjoyed his workshop making bird houses, farming, yardwork, relaxing on the porch and spending time with his family. David was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Linda and Lenora and 1 brother, Larry. Funeral 1:00 O'clock P.M. Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Letcher Independent Baptist Church with Bill Jones and Alan Bates officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Letcher Independent Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the W.J. Caudill Cemetery at Blackey, Kentucky.
