Alpha (Cress) Stewart

Alpha Cress Stewart age 68 of Neon, Ky. passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was the daughter of Floyd and Nora Hendrix Cress.

She was a member of the Church of 

Christ at Haymond, Ky. She enjoyed spending time with her family and talking with her friends. She was a kind, giving and selfless soul, shown by her donating her body to science in order that a learning experience may save a life.

Alpha was preceded in death by her father Floyd Cress; mother Nora Hendrix Cress; sister Evon Johnson; brother: Joel Cress; son Christopher Pease and brother Tommy Cress.

Alpha is survived by her sons: Tommy Joe Pease of Jenkins, Ky. and James Pease of McRoberts; grandchildren: Christopher Pease, Brandon Pease, Hailey Pease, Colby Joe Pease, and Timothy Pease, Lauren Nobel, and Nicholas Noble; great grandchildren: Cayson, Acelynn, Kole, Emma, Corbin Reign; sisters: Shirley Stacy (Calvin) of Trenton, Ohio, Linda Hall (Gaddy) of Jackhorn, Jackie Linville (Barry) of Neon, Marry Catherine Cress of Dalton, Georgia; special great nieces and nephews: Sophie, Bryda, Nora Jo, Ariana, Skyler and Casper whom called her granny and Nana along with a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends who she loved so very much.

Visitation: 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
