Bruce Edwin Sexton

Bruce Sexton, 73, of Whitesburg passed away Monday December 17, 2018 at the Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Bruce was the son of the late Edward and Esta Mi Collins Sexton.  He was a retired school teacher at Whitesburg High School having taught History and English for 30 years. He was a founding member of the Sandlick Fire Department and a member of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife: Karen Marie Whitaker Sexton; 2 Daughters: Krisi Monique Sexton of Lexington; Medessa Lynette (Doug) Burian of Laurel Maryland; 4 Brothers: Buddy Dean Sexton of Whitesburg; Albert Sexton of Whitesburg; Marvin Sexton of Louisville and Jackie Lee Sexton of Isom; 1 Sister: Tishia Mae Collins of Whitesburg;  3 Grandchildren: Ella Noel Burian, Swazey Enochs Sexton, Gabrielle Elizabeth Burian. Bruce was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Bennett Sexton; 5 Sisters: Violet Benton; Barbara Adams; Josie Collins; Hazel Lois Sexton; Susie Eddie Sexton. Funeral 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church with Jerry Utt officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at the Family Cemetery at Sandlick, Kentucky
