Cheri Banks Obituary

Cheri Lynette Profitt Banks was born December 3, 1962 at Dr. Aker's Clinic in Fleming Neon to Darrell and Janice Profitt. She passed away July 21, 2018 in Nicholasville, Kentucky being 55years of age. Cheri grew up at Campbranch KY among a multitude of family and friends. The Lord sent Cheri to us with a very kind and forgiving heart. She never failed to show compassion and understanding in the most trying of circumstances and was often a shoulder to lean on . Cheri married Earl Banks in 1981 and lived the next 30+ years in Nicholasville KY. To this union was born two children Kristopher and Kyra. Cheri enjoyed spending her time with her children and grandchildren along with a good cold Pepsi. Cheri moved back to Campbranch in 2015. She cherished early morning chats and walking with her dad and sitting with her mom talking or watching TV in the evenings.

Left to mourn her passing are her children Kristopher Banks ( Bethany Banks) and Kyra Brown ( Christopher Brown). Grandchildren : Aiden Banks, Elijah Banks, and Makayla Brown, all of Nicholasville, Ky. Parents: Darrell and Janice Profitt of Campbranch. 1 Brother: David Profitt and special sister in law, Regina Profitt. A special niece and nephew Kristina Profitt and Brandon Harrison. 2 great nieces Ryley and Raelynne all of Mount Sterling. A special grandmother Matilda Lucas of Amburgey, Ky. A close cousin and friend whom along with Regina Profitt she called the sisters she never had, Rene Palumbo of Versailles, Ky. and Diane Banks of London, Ky along with many more friends and families.

Our much loved Cheri, may you rest in peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior and know no more pain, trouble or sorrow. It will be our sincerest hope to one day join you to walk the streets of gold.

Funeral services for Cheri Banks will be held Wednesday ,July 25, 2018 at Letcher Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Bill Hall Officiating. Visitation: Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Letcher Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Profitt Cemetery.
