Dan Cook,84, of Mayking passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Dan was the son of the late Ed and Hattie Hall Cook. Surviving is 1 son: Ronnie Cook of Whitesburg; 2 daughters: Judy Gibson of Wise VA and Teresa Wright of Isom; 1 brother: Ted Cook of Thornton; 2 sisters: Sally Mitchell of Frankfort and Katherine Mason of Winchester; grandchildren: Derek Cook, Michael Wright, Jonathan Wright, Ryan Gibson and Brian Gibson; great grandchildren: Kyleigh, Riley, Jaleigh, Jaydon, Aarron, Macie, and Maxwell. Graveside Service: 12:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2018 at Green Acres Cemetery with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00-10:00 PM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
