David Stamper Obituary

David Layne Stamper, 62 of Jenkins, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at his residence. David was an excellent carpenter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. David Loved University of Kentucky Basketball. Surviving is 2 sons: Jason (Michele) Stamper of Cowan and Matthew (Angela) Stamper of Premium; 1 brother: Doug Stamper of Letcher; half brother: Lonnie Ison of Letcher; nieces: Misty Stamper, Brandy Stamper, Chris Ison, and Courtney Blaine Collins; great nephew: Layne. David was preceded in death by his mother: Thula Jane Ison; 2 nephews: Chris Overstreet and Nathan Akers. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Holbrook officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sandlick Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
