Donald Brunty, 76, of Whitesburg passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Donald was the son of the late John and Ivory Dean Brunty. Surviving are his wife: Jean Collins Brunty; 2 sons: Ronald Lee Brunty of Letcher and Charles Ray Brunty of Pikeville; 1 daughter: Donna Marie Dixon of Slemp; 1 step daughter: Michelle Sexton of Jackhorn; 2 sisters: Nada Sanders and Jennifer Justice both of Huntington WV; 4 grandchildren: Cameron, McKinnley, Lucas, and Dallas; 2 step grandchildren: Nicholas and Beth: Donald was preceded in death by his first wife Francine Brunty. Funeral 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Dixon and Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00 PM Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Warrick Cemetery in West Virginia.
