Doug Wright Obituary

Doug Wright, 77 of Sergent, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Doug was the son of the late Harvey and Cora Potter Wright. Doug was a retired coal miner, former magistrate, and Chief Deputy Jailer. Surviving is his wife: Patricia Rose Wright; very special sister-in-law: Wanda Lewis of Little Rock, Arkansas; special niece: Rebecca McCormick and husband Mike and son Mikey along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Van Webb and Caleb Combs officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Thornton Cemetery at Thornton, Kentucky.
