Ed Collier Obituary

Ed Collier, 83, of Premium was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on June 7, 2019. He passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family.

Ed was born to the late Samuel and Mary Holbrook Collier on May 9, 1936. He was an avid hunter and dog trader who loved watching Kentucky Basketball.

Ed was married to the love of his life and best friend, Dorothy Cornett Collier, for 57 years 9 months and 28 days. He was blessed with a large and loving family. He was soft spoken and is dearly missed by his loved ones.

Ed is survived by his wife Dorothy; his 5 daughters: Annetta (Jimmy) Hall of Smoot Creek, Shelia (Billy) Brown of Thornton, Malinda (Reed) Miller of Premium, Charlotte Ison of Kingdom Come, Kathy (Greg) Combs of Little Collie; 5 sons: Danny (Laynett) Collier of Premium, Doug Collier of Premium, Donald Collier of Premium, Anthony Collier of South Carolina, Tim Collier of Premium; one special great grandchild: Kyla LaShae Goodgame; 19 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, three very special friends in Sid Burns, Dewey Baker and Steve Brewer along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Ed was preceded in death by 1 infant son: Can MacKinley; 1 grandson: William Edward Hall 1 sister: Betty Potter; and 3 brothers: Johnny Wayne, Denver, and Billy Collier.

The family would appreciate donations for funeral expenses in lieu of flowers. Donations may be made to his wife.

Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Cowan Chapel Church with William Hall, Frank Adams, and others officiating. Visitation: 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the Cowan Chapel Church. Burial will follow in the Dinah Blair Cemetery at Cowan, Kentucky.
