Eula Mae Mullins Rouse, age 89, of Whitesburg, Ky., passed from this life on January 8, 2018, at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born July 20, 1928 in Beefhide, Ky., the daughter of the late Samuel Wilson Mullins and Alene Mullins. Prior to her death, she was a resident of the Letcher Manor Nursing Home. She was the widow of the late Lee Rouse of Florida. After returning from Florida, she lived at Jenkins for several years, where she attended the Jenkins Methodist Church with a good friend Libby Craig. She is survived by 1 sister, Shirley (Buck) Sparks of Mayking, Ky., 2 brothers, Donald (Shirley) Mullins of Mooresburg, Tennessee, Danny Mullins of Knoxville, Tennessee, several nieces, nephews and friends to mourn her passing. She also had a special niece, Tammy Sparks whom she called "her baby". In addition to her late parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Bobby Mullins, Phillip Mullins, Johnny Mullins and James Mullins. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Craft and Dock Frazier officiating. Visitation: 6:30 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
