Gerald Robert Smith, 59 of Whitesburg, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. Gerald was the son of Jenny Helton Smith and the late Gerald Bruce Smith. He was the son-in-law of Jr. Jarrell and the late Rosa Lee Jarrell. Also surviving is his wife: Rita Jarrell Smith; 2 daughters: Liz (Ryan) Eidson of Richmond and Roxie (Dunavon) Cornett of Whitesburg; 1 brother: David (Robin) Smith of Lawtey, Florida;2 sisters: Nancy (Lonnie) Shepherd of Cumberland and Melissa (Lonnie Lowe) Allen of Harlan; 3 grandchildren: Brody Eidson, Deacon Eidson, and J.P. Cornett. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Cornerstone Church with Frank Holbrook officiating. Visitation: 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Cornerstone Church. Burial will follow in the D.L. Creech Cemetery at Cumberland, Kentucky.
