I was a 4th grade student of Mrs. Bentley 60 years ago in Whitesburg. My family and I lived in Whitesburg for only about 4 years, but my memories of her as a powerful teacher remain very vivid. For some reason this evening I searched the web for Helen and ran across this obituary. My condolences to the family. I wish I could have said "thank you" to her while she was still here.... but this will have to do.

I did not Helen had died, nearly a year ago. She and Zenith were close friends of my parents and 8 saw them often in childhood. All 4 of them were highly opinionated people and conversations were always lively to say the least. She was a very strong and impressive women and made an indelible impression on me as a young girl. I am so glad she and my mother were able to visit just a few months before they both died. Much affection for the whole family.

I am very sorry for your loss. Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible. Jesus tells us at John 5:28,29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. What a loving provision put in place by "the God of all comfort" so we can have the assured hope of one day seeing our loved ones live again. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) May God bless the family and give each of you the strength to endure this most trying time. (Psalm 46:1)
