Ila Amburgey Hall, 97, of Nicholasville, KY, passed away peacefully at home, with family, on December 26, 2019.

Surviving is her daughter, Santa Carol Hall Houggard, grandsons, Russell Todd Hall and Adam J Hannahs. Great grandsons, Russell Drew Hall and Christopher Allen Hall and children. A brother, Neweral Amburgey, sister, Sally Faye (Charles) Hampton, two sister-in-laws, Emma (Owen) Amburgey and Sue (Ted) Amburgey. An informal adopted daughter, Brenda (Hall) Lloyd, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was the daughter of the late Laura Crace Amburgey and Manuel L Amburgey. She is preceded in death by: parents, Laura and Manuel L Amburgey, husband, Russell L. Hall, a son, Russell Daryl Hall, Amburgey brothers, Orel, Bengie. Willie, Ted, and Owen. Sisters: Bernice Adams, Cleada Caudill, and Orpha Bryant.

Ila’s first love was her family, cooking and entertaining family around the table. She was an excellent cook, home maker, Gardner, landscaper, seamstress, creative needle worker. In addition, most of her adult life was owning a grocery stores .

Funeral: 10:30 O'clock A.M. Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Amburgey officiating. Visitation: 9:30 A.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
