Inus Whitaker, 86, of Hallie passed away Tuesday July 2, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Ky. Inus was the daughter of the late R.B. and Lista Sparkman Whitaker. She was the widow of Junior Whitaker. Surviving is a Son-in-Law: Ray Smith; 1 brother: Ova (Sandra) Whitaker of Hallie; 5 sisters: Euna Mae Whitaker, Mary Jane Holcomb, and Lavada Cornett all of Hallie, Wanda Lee Gaines of Shelbyville, and Ethel Baker of Hazard along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, and Great friends and other relatives to mourn her passing. Inus was Preceded in death by a daughter Elaine Smith. Funeral 1:00 O'clock P.M. Thursday, July 4, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Jones and Danny Dixon officiating. Visitation 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 4, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Hallie. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center.
