Irene Day, 91 of Cowan, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Irene was the daughter of the late C.M. and Emily Roberts Fields. Surviving is her husband: William Eugene Day; 1 son: Francis (Virginia) Day of Cowan; 1 daughter: Emma (George Allan) Adams of Cowan; 1 grandson: Chris Adams; 1 great grandchild: Paige. Irene was preceded in death by a grand daughter: Heather Day; 8 brothers and sisters. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Big Cowan Old Regular Baptist Church with Jim Fields and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Monday at the Big Cowan Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Day Cemetery at Cowan, Kentucky.
