Jeffrey Day, 64, of UZ passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Jeffrey was the son of the late Henry D. and June Elizabeth Gilley Day. Surviving is his wife of 47 years: June Gross Day; 2 sons: Jeffrey (Jan) Day of Bean Station, Tennessee and Stacy (Tracy) Day of UZ; 2 brothers: Darrell (Roseann) Day of Berkley Springs, West Virginia and Bruce Day of Isom; 1 sister; Judy Thomas of Cartersville, Georgia; 2 grandchildren: Jarred Day and Savannah Day. Jeffrey was preceded in death by 1 brother: Michael Day. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the National Black Lung Association or the Letcher County Food Pantry.
