John William Madden, 72, of Isom passed away Friday, September 21, 2019 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. John was the son of the late Henry Ford and Eliza Jane Johnson Madden. Surviving is his wife: Virgie Johnson Madden; 4 sons: John William Madden Jr of Dayton, OH, Timothy Madden of Jeremiah, Jonathan Madden of Letcher and James Marcum Jr of Kingscreek; 5 daughters: Donna Jean Madden Barragan of Madisonville, Texas, Cheyenne Madden of Letcher, Shirley Cook of Van, Jamie Hackeney of Indianapolis, IN and Melissa McBee of Millstone; 2 brothers: Henry Ford Madden Jr of Isom and Rocky Madden of Isom; 2 sisters: Linda Sue Gibson of Isom and Abbie Wynn of Isom along with a host of grandchildren. Funeral: 12:00 PM Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Darrell McBee officiating. Visitation: 6:00 PM Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Madden and Johnson Cemetery at Isom, Ky.
