Margaret (Tolliver) Blair, 82, beloved wife of Charles Blair for 54 years, peacefully passed at her home on January 18, 2018, surrounded by her loving family in Morehead, KY. She is preceded in death by Johnie D. and Lavada (Caudill) Tolliver (Parents), Staff Sgt. Jimmy E. Tolliver (brother), and Kenneth Maggard (spouse). Margaret was a devoted mother to John K. Maggard (Kellie) of Morehead, KY. She enjoyed her grandchildren, Elizabeth L. Maggard (fiance Aaron Mabry) of Lexington, KY., and Ethan Maggard (Jessica) of Lexington, KY., and great grandson, Aerian L.  Maggard. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Ottielenna Baldwin of Pleasant Plain, OH, and Henrietta Milich of Frankfort, KY. along with many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born in Jenkins, KY., August 6, 1935, Margaret was a graduate of Fleming Neon High School (1953), and she completed her B.A. degree in Business Administration and Secondary Education in Home Economics at Morehead State University. Her career was dedicated to teaching elementary school, beginning at Letcher County Public Schools, Jenkins Independent (KY), and Franklin Public Schools (OH). She continued teaching secondary school Home Economics at Middletown Schools (OH) and eventually  retired from Cincinnati Public Schools with nearly 40 years in the classroom, positively impacting numerous students and colleagues. Margaret and her husband, Charles, returned to Morehead, KY. settling post retirement to be close to their son and his family. She also worked as a nutritionist at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Margaret served with the Morehead Women's Club and Conservation Committee and with the St. Clair Foundation up until the time of her passing. She enjoyed reunion time with family and friends, flower gardening, home decor, family travel, and entertaining. An avid animal advocate, she loved the family pets. Memorials can be made to S.T.A.R. (Saving animals of Rowan County), Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Elwood Cornett and Rhonda Strouse officiating. Visitation: 12:00 Noon Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
