Paul Meade, 94, of Jackhorn passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at his residence. Paul was the son of the late Marion and Ellen Wright Meade. He was the widower of Aileen Tackett Meade. Surviving are 3 daughters: Wilma Stambaugh of McRoberts, Elinda Meade of Jackhorn, and Teresa Meade of Jackhorn; 2 brothers: Silas Meade and Winston Meade both of Neon; 2 grandchildren: Paul (Lori) Stambaugh and Deborah (Mark) Spangler; 4 great grandchildren: Kayla Paige, Andrew William, Alexis Nichole, and Rachel Mae. Paul was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Hazel Quillen, Myrtle Bentley, and Rosa Tackett.  Funeral: 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Fleming and Johnny Johnson officiating. Visitation: 6:00-10:00 PM Monday and 6:00-10:00 PM Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking, Kentucky.
