Richard Whitaker, 73, of Hallie passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at his residence. Richard was the son of the late Hubert and Susan Watts Whitaker. Surviving are his wife: Nancy Ann Bowman Whitaker; 1 son: Richard Whitaker Jr of Hallie; 1 daughter: Mitzi Caudill of Hallie; 1 sister: Norma Sue Jent of Hallie; 3 grandchildren: Beth, Tori, and Ivy; 4 great grandchildren: Shaun, Cadance, Andra, and Cookie; special nephew: William Stallard; special niece: Maudie; special great grandson: Shaun; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by 1 brother: Lonzo Whitaker; 4 sisters: Lois Cox, Elsie McCllan, Delma Stallard, and Jackie Ison. Funeral 12:00 PM Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Cedar Grove Church with Danny Dixon, Jim Fields, and Scotty Halcomb officiating. Visitation: 6:00 PM Sunday at the Cedar Grove Church. Burial will follow at the Watts Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.
