Vonetta Lucas, 75, of Thornton, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at her residence. Vonetta was the daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy Vance Lucas. She was the widow of Onas "Boob" Lucas. Surviving is 6 sons: Douglas Lucas, Drake Lucas, Denley Lucas, Dirk Lucas, Demas Lucas, and Delvin Lucas all of Thornton; 1 daughter: Viva Lucas Mullins of Thornton; 2 brothers: Bill Lucas and Jerry Lucas both of Thornton; 3 sisters: Sue Sexton of Whitesburg, Joan Sexton of Thornton, and Barbara Bennett of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren: Maniah Lucas, Chase Lucas, Savannah Lucas, Cammie Lucas, Mattie Lucas, Molly Lucas, Dylan Boggs, Elijah Lucas, Isaac Lucas, Noah Lucas, Bella Lucas, Carley Lucas, Adria Lucas, and Josiah Lucas. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Lucas Cemetery at Thornton, Kentucky.
