Anthony Wade Whitaker, 54, of Jeremiah passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Surviving is his parents Allen and Sylvania Whitaker of Jeremiah; wife: Lena Collins Whitaker; 2 sons: Austin Wade Whitaker (Bud) and wife Keona and Alex Blake Whitaker (Pudgie); 1 brother: Allen Ward Whitaker and wife Dwana; 3 sisters: Opal Jent and husband David, Missy Fields and husband Wayne, and Alana Jo Couch and husband Michael; mother-in-law: Nancy Collins; special friends: Mikey Sexton and Roger Fields along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Wade was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Burtis Collins; grandparents: Amos and Nella Whitaker and Clarence and Lucy Blair. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Dixon Memorial Church with Roger Fields, Danny Amburgey, Dean Mullins, David Jent, Mikey Sexton, Eugene Thacker, and Jeff Roark officiating. Visitation: 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Dixon Memorial Church. Burial will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery at Jeremiah, Kentucky.
