Winford Sturgill Obituary

Winford Sturgill, 82, of Whitesburg passed away Saturday August 17, 2019 at St Joseph's Hospice Care Center in Lexington Ky. Winford was the son of the late Milton Kermit and Laura Mullins Sturgill from Eolia, Ky. He was a member of the Whitesburg Masonic Lodge and Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are his son, Tim Sturgill and daughter in love, Mary, of Shelbyville; 3 very special grandsons: Aaron, Connor, Dalton of Shelbyville; his brother, Ronald Sturgill, and sister-in-law Sheila of Eolia; sister-in-law Darlene Sturgill of Eolia, and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved greatly. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Doris Baker Sturgill; his second wife, Geneva Adams; and his brother Winston Sturgill. Funeral 11:00 A.M. Tuesday August 20, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Craft officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. Monday August 19, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery.
