Alene Ballou, 84 of Mayking, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Alene was the daughter of the late Douglas and Mary Robbins Polly. She was the widow of Ray Ballou. Alene was a believer and follower of Christ and the Holiness Faith. Surviving is 2 sons: Kenneth (Kimberly) Ballou and John (Christy McHone) Ballou; 3 daughters: Rebecca Ballou, Sarah (Ryan) Boggs, and Hailey (Cody) Bentley; 8 grandchildren: Alyssa Ballou, Jared Bentley, Kendall (Caitlyn) Ballou, Hayley Erin (Gage) Mullins, Kristiana (Justin) King, Harley Boggs, Madison McHone, and Dylan Ballou; 7 great grandchildren: Eli Mullins, Kian Ballou, Londyn Mullins, Harper Bentley, Karson King, Kacen Ballou, Kamden King, and 1 great granddaughter on the way along; very special friends: Greg & Robin Sexton along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 O'clock P.M. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church with Greg Polly officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church.
