Alford Roark, 45 of Kingscreek, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Alford was the son of Dean Fields Roark of Kingscreek and the late George Roark. Alford was a member of the Kingscreek Fire Department Unit#913 and a member of the Pine Mountain Worship Center. He enjoyed cooking, wrestling, NFL Patriot Football and spending time with his family. Alford was known for his heart of gold and his smile to go with it. Surviving other than his mother is 1 daughter: MaKinley Faith Roark of Kingscreek; his fiancee: Angelina Gentry of Roxana; mother-in-law to be: Abbetina Gentry of Roxana; sisters-in-law to be: Candace Gentry and Jessica (Anthony) Lewis; his loving dog: Max; special co worker: Gary Hall. He loved all of his cousins, aunts, and uncles. Alford was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Parrot and Lona Roark; maternal grandparents: "Big Ack" Astor and Glenna Fields; father-in-law to be: Gary "Fuzz" Gentry. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon, Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with James Pennington, Jimmy Dotson, Roger Fields, Wallace Bolling, and Mike Melton officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hogg Cemetery at Roxana, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers of donations are suggested to help with the funeral expenses.
