Bernease Sergent, 85, of McRoberts passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Mayfair Manor Nursing Home in Lexington. Bernease was the daughter of the late Ray and Elizabeth Adams King. She was the widow of Estill Lloyd Sergent. Surviving is 1 son: Lloyd (Annette) Sergent of Dawsonville, Georgia; 2 daughters: Rae Mona (Anthony) Collier of McRoberts, and Denise (David) Sandford of Lexington; 2 brothers: Silas King of Deane, and Lawton King of Jackhorn; 1 sister: Shirley Crawford of Berea; 8 grandchildren: Jeannine (Ed) Brown, Joshua (Christiana) Sergent, Jeremy (Kelsey) Sergent, Rhea (John) Kelley, Jacob Sergent, Tyler Daylong, Ashley Collier, and Alli Collier; 10 great grandchildren; son-in-law: Jack Collier of Neon; life long friend: Janet Martin of Glasgow, KY along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Bernease was preceded in death by a daughter: Jennifer Collier. Funeral 11:00 O'clock A.M. Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Riley Bentley Cemetery at Deane.
